The JVS Career Counseling & Job Placement department presents FREE Job-Seekers Workshops that give the Greater Community the opportunity to receive support, make valuable connections, and hone their networking skills. We invite subject matter experts from across the community to share their knowledge and experience via interactive, hands-on presentations. Each workshop lasts approximately 90 minutes. April 2nd 2020, we had our first Zoom virtual Job Seekers program with 83 participants. Attendance averages between 75-100.

Examples of topics covered these past several months include “Conducting a Successful Job Search in Uncertain Times,” “Making the Most of LinkedIn,” “How to Open Doors with High Impact Resumes,” “The Art of the Ask,” “ If You Don’t have Focus In Your Job Search, You Don’t Have Game,” “Grit and Resilience,” “How to Use the Hidden Job Market to Find the Job of Your Dream,” “Beating the Applicant Tracking System” and “How To Consider, Embrace & Decide On A Career Pivot.”
