Your first few weeks after job loss will be rocky. I liken job loss to losing a family member. Think about the similarities.
When someone dies,
🙏 You’re in shock
🙏 You start notifying others – about the funeral, etc.
🙏 You cancel the person’s SSN, contact credit card companies, doctors’ offices, etc.
🙏 You get documentation as needed like a death certificate
🙏 You start to acknowledge your new life
🙏 After the initial few days passes and everyone has left, you really feel alone and go through an emotional roller coaster. That’s when you REALLY need support of others
Job search is no different. Don’t grieve alone, grieve with others including our great My Networking Central guest speakers and presenters. We all have excellent resources that will help you navigate this process. And, we’ve all lost jobs and dealt with the uncertainty of all this
